  1. Filling the IT Pipeline (STEM):  
    • Support schools, programs and organizations on STEM initiatives
    • Encourage students to consider careers in Information Technology
    • Information on SIM Stem Outreach
  2. Community giveback:
    • Asset Donations
    • Community Service Day

The 2016 Goals

  • Implement Community Outreach Programs with Partners
  • Survey the membership on current community outreach activities and linking them to SIMNY Metro
  • Increase Community Outreach communications through emails, conference calls, events, PR & publicity by coordinating with SIMNY Marketing
  • Improve SIMNY Metro website for Community Outreach
  • Strengthen relationships with SIM National and other SIM Chapters to get ideas or coop programs
